WELCOME TO THE MANQUEHUE RADIO CLUB
CE3BSQ (ZONE 12)
The Manquehue Radio Club – CE3BSQ – was founded September 25, 1977 in Santiago, Chile. Its name was selected because of the imposing and striking image of Mount Manquehue (S 33.20.49 W 70.34.49 and 5462.6 feet above sea level), which with its trunkated cone dominates the local landscape.

Manquehue, which in the MAPUDUNGU language (the language of the native inhabitants) means PLACE OF THE CONDORS (Manque = Condor and Hue = Place), is a massif of the Andean Range, which from the north sector dominates the Central Valley. At its feet is found the Mapocho River which crosses the city of Santiago.
The Manquehue Radio Club is characterized by the harmony and friendship enjoyed by its members, which allows for the development of innumerable activities common to our hobby as much in Chile as abroad, as well as family outings, camping and recreational activities.
Technical workshops, chats and seminars are common among the members of the Manquehue Radio Club. An internal bulletin is broadcast weekly via VHF and, by means of an eQSO gateway, contact is maintained with members who live or are abroad or in remote areas of the country.
The interchange with different Ham Radio Amateurs is another characteristic of the Manquehue Radio Club; it has welcomed and socialized with delegations of Ham Radio Amateurs from Poland, the Netherlands and Norway, among others.
If your institution or DX Group is preparing to travel to Chile, by all means contact us and we will extend a very cordial welcome to you.
